Dr M has reminded me of a fiel shortage in 2000 resulting from a fuel users blockade re fuel duty. Truck drivers etc. There were protests, garages had to shut, royal mail cancelled deliveries. Etc. Loads of probs
i had completely forgotten this.
anyway. He says nhs workers ( ie docs like him) were given passes to get to front of queue in petrol stations.

I remember phoning in to the wright stuff and being on telly with my opinion on that. Can't remember what my opinion was, probably wrong.

I well remember, as will you minkie, petrol shortages in the 70s, queues down the road etc.
People should take the train a bit more.

My Dad got around that in the '70s by showing a busines card that said Dr. True, but not a medical one.
