FPTP

Given that this election has been a straight shot since the moment it was called between Boris wreaking havoc for another 4 years and Corbyn causing chaos whilst propped up/blackmailed by all other parties, can't help but to feel that it's hardly a glowing endorsement for First Past the Post. They are two frankly dreadful options and their oligopoly is standing in the way of potentially progressive politics. Tactical voting is just sad.

Whilst other countries such as Italy and Germany are used to coalition governments and therefore some degree of collaboration between parties, we have an entrenched system of combative and backstabbing politics which is more divisive than ever. Opposition parties have no interest other than seeing the government in power crash and burn.

Given the deep-rooted nature of the (effectively) bi-partisan/majority government system, just how difficult would Westminster find it to function with proportional representation and the minority/coalition governments that would come with it?
