Wot Doggers sed

I have resumed wearing a woolly hat (and not just because I look good in a beanie)

Don’t mind the rain and cooler weather but it’s a bit blowy which I’m less keen on when walking.

This month still has a chance of being the hottest ever September, running off the fumes of the first 10 days mainly but also another warm up being talked up for next week 

and that Lordgaga does not make up for the awful August which has us grasping at the September vestiges of summer like a drowning man/woman/other grasps a lifebuoy.

I thought the early September heatwave was too hot /something that would be remarkable at the height of summer tbh 

A reminder for myself and many others that "nice weather " is sometimes a bit much

Summer is returning by next Tuesday. ☀️

It’s hard for mists to build up, or indeed for things to be mellow, when the winds are 20mph.

Yes today is more gale force than mellow down here.  Summer though is officially over as I've turned off the pool and the irrigation in the vegetable patch.  My shorts are drying in front of aga on the basis that they won't be needed again until next summer.  I've also just locked several windows on the basis that I won't be opening them again for months.
