Cornwall is basically cut off from the rest of the country right now. Even were I not sick as a dog I still wouldn’t be able to get to Wales for my Aunt’s funeral, so I don’t feel quite so bad about it now.
Agreed Hoolie. At about 8.30pm we had the most ridiculous reprise downpour- Noah would have worried. Then calm.
I’ve spent a lot of today with a spade and drain rods clearing all the blown fir branches and leaf sheissen from the ditches and drains. I awoke to a river where it should not be, and checked what the feck was going on and found ditches dammed up and two drains blocked.

Treforest Ind Estate / Nantgarw and the roundabout between Gwaelod y Garth and Radyr were unbelievable. Lived there for most of my life and I’ve never seen proper flooding, much less some kind of apocalypse movie flooding washing away cars.
