Before I knew the teams, I predicted a 4-0 win for City. After I saw the teams, I thought City might score 8.
They were simply schooled by an excellent City side in the Second half. Bernardo Silva is still the best player City have.
The game was a reflection of where the teams currently are, nothing more than that.
Though I will say, I did not envisage that Ten Hag-ball would include spunking £120m on a GK and CF so we can play like Wimbledon in the 80s and 90s. United are not fun to watch at the minute.

Assume they are heading in the direction of Piccadilly.
They focus is because the gLOLazers have sanctioned more money spent on transfer fees and wages than any other club in world football in the last decade and it is still the same old shitshow. It’s quite incredible really.
Plus it generates clicks from tourist ‘fans’ like Davos.

I know a lot of football fans like 'net spend' (as we know experts like me don't look at it)
But interestingly citeh's net spend is nearly 3bn more than United's (plus another billion put though citeh football group e.g. the day to salaries of admin staff etc)
Quite remarkable
And yet United remain the only proper club, with everyone obsessing over us

Yeah, I think GNev has overplayed his hand with the Glazer stuff.
They're not coaching Onana to lump it up to Hojlund

I don't understand why Ten Hag has moved to a 4 / Box or Diamond / 2 either.

Impressive self-multi facials here from Davos.

The key difference between United and City is that they've both spunked about the same on players, but City have got more back, and that's because United have turned into a club which turns great or good players into mediocre players. And City have made an art form of flogging reserve team players for decent cash (see Cole Palmer and James Trafford).

Correct, Pinko, save for in general it’s the incredible academy which generates that revenue.
Trafford was never a member of the first team squad. ditto Doyle, borges, bazunu, lavia, Sancho etc.
the academy gives a pathway for local working class lads who are truly elite (Foden/Lewis and tbf Palmer if he’d been patient).
For the rest, it’s a pathway into a very good career in pro ball.
For the club it’s a win/win.

My lad has joined an Academy. He was never approached by City but we went to a United (satellite) one and it was a shambles. Just another example of how United concentrate on the first team only and short-term results versus building something for the future.

Quite funny how me, a self respecting football finance expert and united fan, can lay a little crumb and bring all the Esher based tourist fans to bite
Really guys, you need to learn the sport you say you care about
What I have said is of course entirely correct, as ever
