I must have conducted at least 70-80 interviews in my career, but I still get nervous. No idea why, I'm asking the questions! I think it's the staged formality, coupled with the adversarial seating arrangements.
Yes, half of mine have to be "competency based". Probably just as well, as my tendency for the other half is proper off-the-wall, Oxbridge don-style, craziness.
You're selling the firm/place of work as well as trying to find someone, so it does work two ways, Dux. Totally understandable to be a bit wary of it, I reckon.
