Totally. I think I do about 2 hours of real work per week and even that is of zero value. I find it degrading but the system demands it. We have machines to do the grunt work now, why keep up this dumb pretence?
Just as productive as 5 days or the 3 days that those of us who are in control of our lives do? I could certainly do in 4 days that which I achieve in 3.

What lawyers don't realise is clients are basically lazy, selfish and dim. Their deadlines aren't based on anything. So feel free to push back.

I only contract four days a week. Always keep Friday for fun stuff.
If people email on a Friday, they expect a reply on Monday.

Yes, if the four days a week was contingent on being just as productive.

I'm doing fuk-all during my 5 days, expect I would feel a lot better with a 3 day weekend and the work rate would increase considerably.

Most senior partners do very little work unless they are in management in which case they have to go to lots of internal meetings.
otherwise it’s client management and project management which doesn’t take much time
