Comedians

Following on from risky’s nonsense about whether someone is or is not a comedian, where is the new generation of comedians?

Any recommendations?

Fin Taylor

Rosie Holt obviously

Josh Pugh

These are all relatively new to me, maybe they've been about for ages. Also I have only seen a couple of them do full sets, the rest are funny twitter people who may or may not have a strong 30-60 mins.

You should go to local comedy nights and see if there’s a Comedy Store night near you.

True. Will look to see if any of those are doing live shows.

Fragments of new comedy found in a rubbish dump near Oxyrynchus in the 19th century are still being worked on. I will keep you updated.

Jim Jeffries & Bill Burr are my two faves on a global scale.

Paul Chowdhry can be very funny too.

As can that scouser, Paul Smith, but he works in the Comedy Club setting a lot better than does in an arena from what I've seen.

It's probably a generational thing, but when I turn on the TV and see some 20-30 something on stage with an audience laughing like demented hyenas, I usually turn it straight over.
