Blueberries and medjool dates

heh @ Clergs’ equivocation. the anti porridge Scot personal conflict conundrum:- I am Scottish so cannot fully distance myself from porridge or my people will reject me. Yet being Scottish is the source of so many of my existential concerns that it renders things like (including but not limited to) porridge unpalatable and personal confronting.

Oh dear oh dear

medjool variety is native to north west Africa - not the middle east - favoured and cultivated by the Berber who are not Arabs. The variety is known for its larger fruit, thinner skin and softer, sweeter texture, and was traditionally saved for special occasions and gifts, known as the fruit of kings. you are stuck in pwnland and cannot pass go or collect 200 dihram.

Mr C: eat some porridge

Me: no, I don't like it much so that is empty calories

Mr C: you have to it is patriotic and also good for you

Me: I already ate some cake

rpt x many

"calling dates medjool marks you out as an ME cluelite"

Assuming that living in an airconditioned box in the Arabian desert makes you a global authority on dates that don't even come from there marks you out as... a turbothrobber. HTH.

Blueberries - never, ever have I eaten one that tastes of anything. Strawberries often rubbish too.

dates is a good one, I need the fibre.

yes, airmiles. The fruit in the OP are the only imported fruit or veg I eat tbh. Eg toms from Isle of Wight, everything else British.
