Why isn't she a shoo-in for the SNP leadership? She seems quite moderate, comes across very well, quite colourful, reasonably intelligent, and doesn't have any wacky ideas. Ok, she went to Keele, but even so.

I think she's right actually. People seem to be scoffing at her comments that London will have to accept the will of the Scottish people, but history proves her right. Every colony in the Empire which has sought independence has achieved that objective, and started off in the same fashion.

The will of the Scottish people on the Indie question can only be garnered through a referendum, not a General Election in which folks vote on a myriad of issues.
