For the majority of life it doesn't matter if you are a woman or a transwoman, people are just trying to live their life and get treated with respect.
At the extreme of any spectrum there are the hard cases and loud voices. However, they are the EXTREME of the spectrum and shouldn't be confused with the everyday arrangements people have in their daily lives.
Let's concentrate more on the majority of trans-people and their right to be treated with respect (which does not impact any other woman or man) and less on the extreme). I don't have to agree or understand to treat with respect where it doesn't impact me and improves someone else's well being.
There are huge issues (for me as well as others particularly about a biological man defining what he thinks are feminine characteristics and that defining me as a biological woman).
To me the issue seems more around gender than sex and I personally don't think gender is a helpful societal concept for defining people anyway.
The hard parts are the sex issues (prisons, sport) but most of this issue is a nothing-burger outside the agenda's of both loud sides.
FYI - I'd say about 30% of the teenagers I know identify as non-binary. I suspect that to reduce dramatically as they grow older and discover themselves.

Saying that you think a trans-identified male is a woman means you think that what makes a woman is their self-identified gender identity.
Gender identity is based entirely on regressive stereotypes of what women and men should do, how they should behave and what they should wear. Gender identity ideology is dangerous and regressive.
