Another company regretting association with a trans loony

Paywall. Soz, I cancelled my online subscription to the Daily Terror-graph when the main news stories became all about Labour-run councils hiring illegal immigrants to paint pedestrian crossings in the colours of the rainbow.

Care to copy & paste?

This is awful, and the correct decision.

It’s lucky no company has ever had to dissassoiate itself from a cis person as a result of something they have said/done! Particularly old gammony ones!

I’m sure Marshall will be all over it if ever happens.

It’s understandable that the proportions in the trans community are higher given that it is effectively an ilness where doctors have experimented on individuals. Just see the recent leaks of the WPATH medical documents.

Erm, not saying that there aren't serious issues with the apparently unquestioning acceptance of some aspects of trans madness, but unless I've misread it (possible, I feel grubby spending too much time on the Telegraph site so I rushed it) the controversial posts that are about to destroy a person's life were made 10 years ago, when he was 15 years old.  And presumably, nothing has come up since?

Based on some of the sexist, misogynistic and aggressively sexual sh1t that some of the allegedly fully grown men post on this site, I would hate to see the kind of drivel you would have been posting as teenage boys.

I'm sure we'll find out if there are other and more recent posts, and it may well be that this person is the literal epitome or paedy evil, but I'm not convinced that a person's life should be shattered and their world eviscerated because of something they posted as a fricking 15 year old.

FFS, some of the commentary : "This is disgusting. Give Doritos the Bud Light treatment."

Yes, that's right, because taking such offence at the creation of a tiny amount of merchandising featuring the face of (admittedly, an intensely irritating) trans woman, that you threaten the lives and livelihood of thousands of strangers, shoot up the product, destroy it in stores, and generally agitate yourself into a mild coronary is an entirely reasonable reaction, one which must be replicated immediately, as often as possible.

Cru- thanks for reading th article so I didn’t have to. As usual bang on the money from you, but you have to make allowances for Marshall, an intolerant bigot.

Irrespective of whether someone is trans or not, companies should be smarter about employing influencers to look relevant. If their entire existence is posting online, inevitably some of them will have posted bad stuff and some due diligence is sensible.

It's almost a compulsion with Marshall, isn't it - he sees the word "trans", and he just spins out...

Actually, I wasn't even sure if it was a trans person, based on that article, because they say that they use Samantha Hudson as "a stage name".

Totally agree, snowfox.  But I still think that, unless it's something really egregious, it's asking a lot for someone to be held accountable for some gobsh1te they posted when they were a kid.

I think it’s fair to say that any commercial organisation would terminate their relationship with any celebrity figurehead if they’d posted they want to rape a 12 year old, no matter how old they were when they did it or whether they had a gender identity or not.

And the plural of anecdote is misinformation.

I do feel sorry for trans people. They have the absolute worst malicious and conspiracist nutters in society on their backs purely because the batsh*t-conservative-Christo-fascist axis of evil needed a wedge issue to help pursue its toxic agenda.

Meanwhile leading lights in the anti-trans movement are supposedly found reading child porn fan fiction on public transport for, ahem, "research purposes" .

“after the team became aware of her comments, the post was removed and Hudson terminated. The spokesperson said that Hudson’s termination had nothing to do with her gender identity, and everything to do with her history of inflammatory comments.”

Blimey that’s going a bit far isn’t it?

It's almost like they outsource the marketing to agencies who don't do their DD on the influencers they choose to feature because they can't afford to having been beaten down on cost.  Oh hang on that's exactly how it works.
