For another absolutely beautiful human being and another DID which both took my breath away and made me cry, if you've not heard Richard E Grant's, it's here.
I always thought his unexpected portrayal of Count Ilya Rostov was somewhat autobiographical - nice and warm paternalistic type, swerving tricky stuff, loving good times, wishing those around him well, not wanting to look too close at grim truths. good casting.
The young ones and Vivian in particular are an absolute TV highlight of my childhood, it made such an impact on people . He was lovely on the show and I really like Jennifer Saunders too
I worked with Chris Ryan of young ones note. He was soooooo different to what you expected. Acting was his escape from reality. He was so acutely painfully shy.
I am reminded of watching the tampon episode with my father in the early 80. My dad was a ladandanalf but of a different generation and that was one of the MOST discomforting 30 minutes of both our lives.

I know someone who has worked with him and he says he’s a great chap.
Posher than you’d think apparently. Or maybe not, depending on your expectations.

He looks just like one of the BBC news readers so I often end up wondering if I'm watching the news or some kind of spoof.

He’s the new host of the Out To Lunch podcast. I’ll miss Jay Rayner but happy with the alternative.

Is it a mouse rik?
Never forget him, and of course Lise Mayer.
Heaving comedic talents.

I love him as a result of this. It was like someone grabbing your heart. The school years were a hard listen.
