Someone posted a link to the original Chinese tv series on X so I've started watching that.  Pretty good so far.  30 episodes tho.  

Having googled this, I will watch for Sea Shimooka

Loved the books and this series looks promising.  Don't even know how they will do the final book.  Thankfully the books are finished too which means the GoT can't mess it u too much (hopefully).

Tempted to binge its back doors in on the way to the Alps tomorrow, but I will resist and watch it on a proper screen when I get back.

First couple of episodes seem good. Read the book about ten years ago so no memory of what’s going on.

Read the books last year and enjoyed them all. The TV programme is fun too. 

I like the Scouse copper. He was also a copper in the Hated in the Nation Black episode of Black Mirror.

This is one big joke isn’t it? The actor who played - iirc - Samwell in GoT, a parody of a parody, an Ed Sheeran of telly drama, dropping northern quips sotto voce like a woke Bernard Manning, and now here Mark Gatiss and Reece Shearsmith like it’s one big LoG sketch. 

I started watching it last night.  1.5 episodes in - good so far

But mine’s in Chinese with subtitles?

Have I got the wrong one?

Or better still is this gonna be like GoT - but with two versions including a foreign language one I can use to sneer at the proles?

And with two chances at the ending not being fooked up?
