A New York lawyer has reverted to childhood by packing in his top job and re-inventing himself as a successful Lego brick artist.

Sawaya used to be a jobbing corporate lawyer at Winston & Strawn, working thousands of hours a year to pay off crippling law school debts. But he left the Big Apple in 2004 for a position as a "master model builder" at Legoland California, swapping his six figure salary for $30,000 p.a.. And today he's a successful Lego artist, selling his works for £10,000 a pop and touring North America with his exhibition of works made solely from the Danish toy.

But clearly the years haven't dimmed Sawaya's regard for the legal market - one of his works, titled "Everlasting", is a graphic reminder of Eversheds' bizarre red-man-with-bulging-groin branding. Yours for a mere $10,500.

You can see loads of his other creations on his website, the Art of the Brick. And if you've created something exciting and artistic from your kids' Lego, why not send a picture to RollOnFriday for judging? The best modeller will get a job at Winston & Strawn*.

*Job at Winston & Strawn not guaranteed.

Read about this guy in the Metro about 2 years ago. Nice to see ROF has its finger on the pulse.

We've only just entered the 'noughties' by making comments available on our stories. One step at a time, dear reader.
