A Brisbane man has been jailed in Sri Lanka after running naked onto a cricket pitch and sliding on a rain cover.
Alex James was watching a cricket test match between hosts Sri Lanka and Australia when rain interrupted play and tarpaulin was placed over the ground. Perhaps hoping to make the highlights, James took to the pitch. The Australian jumped over the spectators' fence, pulled off his clothes, and threw himself onto the rain cover sliding on his stomach several times. Pure, silly joy, for which police arrested him.
James appeared before a local court, where he was sentenced to seven days in jail for indecent exposure and ordered to pay a fine. The naked jaunt has been captured in all its glorious stupidity here, asamusement a warning:
