A Brisbane lawyer who picked up a lost mobile phone, stumbled across a trail of text messages about drug dealing on the device.
The lawyer found the phone on a bus and called a few people in the contacts list in an attempt to find the owner. She messaged one particular contact who sent a confused message back saying "Hey, some woman has your phone" - intended for the phone owner.
The lawyer scrolled through other texts from the confused sender and discovered a series of messages to the phone owner to order marijuana and methamphetamine. The texts also included information on drug-dealing associates who had been nabbed by the police.
The lawyer has now handed the phone to the cops, who will no doubt be eager for the owner to come forward to reclaim it.
