A Gadens Law partner has won a battle of the bands competition against corporate behemoths and rival firms in Perth.

Roger Blow swapped his well-cut suit for tight leather trousers (a source of fascination to the legal profession) to become the superbly-named Savage Gaden. He triumphed against competition which included accountants Taylor Woodrow, Deloitte and lawyers Jackson McDonald, impressing the audience by accidentally cutting himself during the performance and bleeding all over his Fender Stratocaster.

Blow keeping the dream alive

But it wasn't all about releasing the inner axe god and spraying fans with haemoglobin. The battle also raised around $14,000 for Strike A Chord, a charity which provides instruments and music lessons to seriously ill and disadvantaged children. Just not sartorial advice to solicitors in dodgy pants.
