Hogan Lovells has been selected as the official law firm for the British Paralympic team.

Under the arrangement, the firm will be the British Paralympic Association's Official Legal Services Provider until the caprihinia-soaked close of the Rio Paralympic Games. And instead of paying cash like the other sponsors, HogLove will provide an undisclosed number of fee-earner hours to support the games.

The OLSP title, which Hogan Lovells chairman Nicholas Cheffings said is "very rewarding", is important to the firm because it allows it to clearly demonstrate its involvement in the BPA after providing unofficial pro bono support for some years. It means that, as well as gaining access to British Paralympians with whom it can dazzle clients, it can slap Paralympic branding up absolutely everywhere. Insiders tell RollOnFriday the offices already looks like a superfan's bedroom.

And why not. Freshfields, according to the RollOnFriday Firm of the Year survey, enjoyed a significant morale boost during its tenure as an Olympic sponsor. And it can't hurt that any complimentary tickets that HogLove receive would mean a trip for staff to Brazil* instead of Stratford.

*availability of all-expenses-paid trips for Hogan Lovells staff to be confirmed.
