I know lawyers aren’t generally considered to be the most caring as a profession but I’m hoping you might use this opportunity to prove that assumption wrong (plus this will only take 20 seconds, costs nothing and so won’t affect chargeable hours targets. It might even count towards your CSR...maybe).
My son contracted meningitis when he was 9 months old and it was touch and go as to whether he would survive. Fortunately he did and he’s now a fit and healthy 2 (almost 3) year old.
My husband and I are very much aware that we were lucky and feel compelled to help other families who haven’t had the good outcome we did. We are climbing Mt Aconcagua later this year (amazingly my firm has given me a month off to do this on the basis I undertake not to die) and we have entered our challenge into a competition being run by Mountain Warehouse. If we get the most votes then the charity of our choice, Meningitis Now, will win £10,000, which would mean so much to us.
We are through to the final round and voting will continue until 5pm on 30th September. We are however currently being beaten by a dog called Barney and so need all the help we can get. Please vote for us. Here's the link:
