Your worst eat-in/take away restaurant experiences

So this weekend I fancy a take away curry. It is a local one which for 30 years has served incredible fresh food. At the weekends and in the week it is mainly full, and ordering a take way often results in a 1.5 hour wait.

However the restaurant has been taken over by new management in the last year, and trip-advisor the reviews are varied . The new owners , have a revered place in Tooting to which I have never been. I order an assortment of stuff, with the main being tandori chicken which includes basmati rice.

Said order arrives an hour later, the nan bread is soggy and dripping in what seems like water, the various chutneys seem to have been defrosted and have a most vivid colour, and taste of nothing. The rice is dry and hard and I suspect been microwaved, as have the onion bhajis. the vegatable curry is tasteless and the sauce is water, again I suspect it has been defrosted and heated. Said food arrrives, and is missing the main of tandori chicken. A "replacement comes 20  mins later. To my surprise they hadn't forgotten it first time. There were 8 tiny, miniscule bits of hard dry chicken, covered by a tonne of rice. It was awful and unedible, and all thrown away. How can every dish be totally unedible. They knocked a tenner of the 30 quid bill, which says it all really.

Deliveroo in London over the summer.  Ordered. 45 minutes later it hasn't arrived but is showing up as delivered on the app. Waited 10 more minutes, It didn't turn up. Rang Deliveroo who said the restaurant claimed it had been delivered. It had not. They said they had placed a replacement order.  The restaurant then cancelled the order saying were out of stock (which was obviously b*ll*cks as this was mainstream curry stuff from a curry house) .  Deliveroo said there is nothing they can do.  Gave me a GBP4 credit for the inconvenience.  Then two days later I realized they had charged me for the order.  Rang them and had a massive go at them.  They eventually refunded me.

Absolutely pathetic service. It's like turning up to a restaurant. Being made to wait an hour and then being told to fvck off because they are out of food.
