I met the managing partner of DD once (when it was still DD) and he was absolutely desperate to be a mover and shaker in something bigger rather then focusing on stewarding a Slaughter and May of the north east for the next generation. Dickies should have remained focused on being the best firm in newcastle pure and simple.
