So if you're putting an appointment into say an iphone calendar and it's for half past the hour when the calendar defaults to o'clock do you scroll up or down to get round to 30 given it's the same distance either way?
Personally down so counting backward to 30. I'm sure this is probably related to why some people also set their computer mice and track pads up so that they scroll down when you slide up which always feels wrong to me.

I suspect it says something about how your brain works and hence I'd expect most lawyers to have a similar approach.
Similar to the disproportionately high number of left handed people in the legal profession.
