things you find helpful

I actually strongly disapprove of just meekly accepting it and "making the best of things" and want to punch those people in the tit - fight you fannies

so this thread is only for the righteously outraged who need to chill a bit

my ones are

1. aromatherapy associates forest wellness spray in a steamy shower - like a fricking spa

2. diy bikini wax - very empowering to be able to do this

3. intermittent fasting - although today I am having a quesadilla at hour 15.5

4. really focused study of something interesting - trying to get lost in learning in that way you did when you were 8

5. getting out of the house every day for a few hours

6. trying new exercises (today is shadow boxing)

7. a lovely fooking drink at the end of the day - nothing out of control, just one great big fook off G&T

oh and also 8. tips for saying no - friend just told me a good one ("arrive at the call and say "sorry I've only got twenty minutes" then dial off after 20 minutes then go and make yourself a cup of tea and read a book")

Inventing things. Today I invented the iphone w**kstand, lets you position your phone at just the right height, hands-free, so you can watch xvideos mobile and crack one off without dropping the phone or accidentally texting the vid to your mum when you grab it

1. Meditation every day

2. for me, *not* drinking (but I am not good at having one big delicious g and t, I would want four)

3. Eating well, lots and lots of veggies and protein, trying to avoid sugar

4. sleep

5. Lots of sex and cuddles

I like your 4 and 8 clergs

for me

1 my under desk treadmill, doing all my zoom calls on it is so much better than sitting down all day

2 not drinking, like Linda I am not good at having one drink and the sameness of lockdown would be a slippery slope to drinking a bottle of gin a week I suspect

3 spending time with my young kids who are delighted to be pottering around in woodlands and jumping in puddles etc as well as who love snuggling up and being read to

4 researching bucket list trips for when all this is finally over

5 ringing old friends and having a good old laugh

6 ordering huge amounts of expensive clothes from net a Porter et al and having a big dress up try on and then brazenly returning them
