Need a leaving message for a card for a colleague I hardly know

all the ones you google are american style utter shite "oh I wish I could tie my shoes to yours as a final prank then you can't leave" calibre stuff

help appreciated

I only ever write ‘Good Luck’. And ‘Congratulations’ for good news. Don’t have the time or inclination to compose anything more.

Write "You won't  will be missed" as a sort of ironic, passive aggressive, parting shot.

He or she can take it whatever way they like; you DGAF.

Sorry you're leaving, I didn't things like this could happen after #metoo.

Make sure you're one of the first to sign the card

Just write "Happy birthday. Hope you have a great day!" (and then add kisses after other people's messages)

too close to the truth

Or simply just sign your name "Bob" and no message.  Nothing more passive aggressive than someone not being ar5ed to even think of anything beyond their name.

And underneath:

"Dictated by Bob and signed on his behalf"

Chuff has it

A strong neutral message

This 'omg babes so many congrats you'll be great' is not appropriate in a 2023 work place

I frequently used to add in small writing ‘I will never forget the night in [ xyz ] and learned so many things - Colin’ to any and all cards, make, female, partners, associates, PAs, male, female alike.
