Quality of life is a big issue.  If you've older and healthy then great.  If you spend decades living in ill-health then maybe not so much.

China is amazing. The food culture is as good and varied as mainland Europe. The history and architecture is second to none. Many of the people are intelligent, articulate and welcoming.

The government and captive media promote nationalism above all else and it will ultimately be their downfall.
