Liverpool back on their perch

Latest financial result smash Man Utd.

Back on top of the pile for the forseeable if they maintain their progress on the pitch

Trent isn't leaving.  Van Dyke neither.  Nor Alisson.  With those three in the back four we're basically unbeatable.

Salah maybe, but probably not next year and he's replaceable.  Very handy in that teams basically have to double up on him but he misses so many opportunities to provide easy assists as he's so greedy.  Mane also could go but also replaceable.  Amazing player and the replacement wouldn't be as good, but ultimately the style of player that he is isn't unique.

Firmino, however... if he leaves we're fukked.  Nobody else in world football is comparable.

Fortunately, Barca are out of the running when it comes to buying Liverpool players, I'm not sure he would go to Bayern.  Realistically Real are the only possibility, and I'm not sure he's flashy enough for them.

Why would any of those players leave liverpool? They can match any club for wages, they win stuff and have a brilliant manager.

Aside from the weather in liverpool, it is hard to see why they would move

Why would any of those players want to go to City? They'd have to get used to playing in front of empty seats every other week.

Salah will go to Real (they'll raise funds from selling Bale), Firmino maybe to Bayern (they'll miss out on Werner who will come to Liverpool). Mane was linked to Real but not sure if they have the funds to buy both him and Salah.

Klopp signed a contract extension at the end of last year. His next step is to transition to a new side (the front 3 are 27/28).

1) Liverpool counts as the north therefore no one sane wants to live there.

2) Agents don’t get sign-on fees if their players don’t move around a fair bit.  Swimming pools don’t buy themselves you know.

Diceman Turin is dire.  Milan ditto.  Napoli weird.  Could live in Rome but playing for Roma or Lazio?  Nah.  You're not even allowed to drink wine so what's the point in Italy?

Barcelona must be the most overrated city in the world too.

May be some clubs whose fans at that time were angels and better entitled to make that point than Chelsea's perhaps...

I'd accept as an LFC fan that the 2 Spanish giants are bigger clubs globally.  Wouldn't concede that point with any other clubs though Bayern, Man United and possibly Juventus are certainly comparable level to LFC.

An element of your fans still sing stuff to Spurs about gas chambers FFS and the only reason with your hoolies you didn't get us banned in the 80s from Europe is because you were too crap to be playing in Europe then  (and in the 2nd division half the time)!
