I've just had Def Leppard playing. They came up on an "all songs shuffle". They are currently on tour with Motley Crue and are apparently now regarded as one of the pantheon of Glam Metal/ Hair Metal gods. I disagree wit this. I think they are middling rockers who look like they got their leather jackets from the same shop as Del Amitri (possibly C&A?), and should be on tour with, like, TopLoader or something. They're naff, to use the vernicular of the time. And their hair isn't NEARLY big enough.
So, anyway, that got me thinking about late 80s rock. I've always liked this little gem.

I've seen Enuff Z'nuff about 6 or 7 times now, been drinking with them a few times. Great band. Never got the credit their deserved.
Your turn. Hit me up.

Def Leppard were huge in 1987/1988 — the peak years for hair metal
Something like 7 of the 11 (I couldn’t be bothered to Google) tracks on the Hysteria album were released as singles and they all did well on both sides of the Atlantic
Whitesnake around the time of the 1987 album were also peak HM, I think, and I love that album and the work of John Sykes
But best HM track (perhaps by a slightly underrated band)? Round and round by Ratt, maybe?
PS — I vaguely remember Enuff Z’nuff. I didn’t rate them at the time

I wanna be somebody - WASP
I'm not doing the stupid punctuation. Loved it when I was a kid.

I Am, I'm Me - Twisted Sister. An early example of the genre, but unbeaten to this day. Actually bought this on 12" vinyl.

Def Leppard were originally categorised as NWOBHM funnily enough. Not really anything to do with the more LA focused hair metal scene.
