Not a vanity purchase but I have a couple of hippy friends (lots of travelling, home school their kids, upcycle and recycle everything). Really lovely couple, who are having their third baby, well probably about now actually.
They're very non materialistic so I don’t want to buy something ostentatiously expensive but rather go for something thoughtful.
My idea was to look for a decent sized antique (maybe silver?) picture frame so they could take a pic with mum, dad, the two girls and the newborn to put in it.
Cant find anything locally, it’s all a bit modern or naff wherever I have looked and I’m useless at finding online auctions. Anyone able to give me some suggestions of either where to look or links to something which you think could fit the bill?
Thanks in advance.

Have you tried some Cornish tin? I got my mrs a necklace pendant thingy for whatever anniversary that one is which proved far more popular (and durable) than much more spenny stuff. will try and track down who it was.

That’s a great idea wang, would be a real help if you could source it and I reckon they’d love the connection, cheers.

Does remind me of a jolly wheeze I played on my most recent wife. She knew I’d bought people presents carved out of welsh coal before and I told her that it was tradition to have our wedding rings made out of coal.
She was caught between not wanting to offend my national pride and her horror. In the end I had them made out of welsh gold, but I did let her simmer about it for a couple of days.

For hunting antiques you need a bow and arrow.
