i have two rabbits and hate them. they just eat and shit and my kids have grown up and these fookers have not died yet. Who wants them? Two male Belgian Hares. Beautiful lads. Fitter than I might wish.
On the OP, I was brought up to "say hares and rabbits" on the first day of the month.
weirdly a Belgian Hare is a breed of rabbit. They are rabbits not hares. But they are greybrown and large thin things with long heads and very tall ears. I will post a pic later.
I don't really "hate". In fact I quite like them and they are very beautiful. They require care and as families grow up children have less regard for rabbits. I have just been out there putting more straw in their shed and putting down some food, refreshing their water etc. They seem disturbingly well. I picked one up and then the other and gave them both a cuddle. One is quite heavy and one is not. The latter has a slightly different level of wear on his teeth so I suspect he is not getting so much to eat as the other as he is eating more carefully. That often does for ruminants and rodents. They are called Marve and Charlie. They were called Lola and Lotta until cock and testicles disclosed themselves. never mind.
I love all animals generally. small yappy dogs get less of that love, I concede. Hate was the wrong word. See also my slutbitchcat (other thread). I do actually have a lot of affection for the cat, but I objectively assess her behaviour and find it lacking. She is unrelentingly unfriendly towards the dog and I mark her down for that.
they live in a palace. There is a hutch inside a shed. The hutch is open at the bottom so they come and go. THey have a cat flap through the wall of the shed and outside they have a big run - three of those square wood/wire runs you can get in Pets At Home screwed together in an L shape and bolted to the shed, with the middle bits removed. In the L shaped run they have a further hutch which they use as an outside shelter / sun deck to lounge around in and sniff the breeze. They have tubes to dive down and a brush edged hoop to rub against when moulting. They have sticks and split logs to chomp on to sharpen their teeth and they get a lot of veg with their dried food nuggets plus dandylion leaves in the summer, blackberry leaves and a lot of hay which I take from the field with a scythe and give it to them with wild flowers and various grasses.
They are lucky beasts, well loved.
But because of all that they are lasting ages. They are 8 and by all accounts have some time to go yet.
short point, they had a teenage shagathon month where, if awake, one was mounting the other, shooting off all over the place and then it developed into a bit of a coercive business. One (Marve) started to hold Charlie down and nibble his eyebrows, whiskers and facial hair off. We had to get them seen to by the vet with his patent knacker pliers. They calmed down after that. No more shaving abuse or humpage.

mine are not so dark as most. A sort of café au lait colour with grey round the face. similar to this.
.
they are quite tasty, apparently. Mine may make an appearance in the ol' le creuset hutch soon.

White rabbits.
Muttley, how can you "hate" animals? Find another home for them if you don't love them.

Kimmy rehoming pet rabbits is quite difficult, at least round here it is. Even if you throw in the £300 hutch/run, no one seems to want them any more
