Even if she never achieves anything else of note she is written into the sporting halls of fame for ever and made for life. Time will tell, but either way not sure what there is for risky to gloat about.
No hang on guys, you moved in there so quickly that hanners didn’t have time to tell us about the time he won a major sporting competition against all the odds.
I have it on good authority that Hanners totally bossed the under 13s lawn bowls tournament at his local club.
The more cynical of you will point out that he was the only contestant, but let us not dwell on such numerical technicalities. Credit where credit is due.
Sorry FIL, some of us actually have to work occasionally. Not sure why I qualify for the plastic Union Jack when all I’m doing is saying that she’s done really well and Risky is, and always was, wrong about her.
Cmon Jim, how many more second round exits does she have to have or losses to people dozens below her ranking before you take the more risky realistic view
I’ve never claimed she will be an all time great. I have merely enjoyed her amazing success so far and mocked you for saying we’d never hear about her again after Wimbledon.
To be clear and reiterate, she is an excellent tennis player, the best Britain has produced in several generations but I don’t claim she will dominate in the way of Graf/Williams etc (although I would love it if she did it’s very unlikely). She is still in her first full professional year and doing very well for her age and experience.
She is not and was never a nothingburger and you were straight up wrong about that. I’ll keep mocking it every time you say it!
What Jim said. All the while she has done what she has done in her first year as a pro, and sitting A Levels , which she excelled at. There aren't many 18 year olds like her in about Risky??
That’s fine Jim. And I’ll keep mockijng you as she gets knocked out. To be fair I don’t think you the worst ‘she’s going to win everything!’ Most of the others have gone silent now for some reason….

M7, you routinely get pwned by the second lowest ranked poster on here (though that is in line with the rankings TBF).

Why do we not get threads when our brave male players do equally badly?

I’m not a tennis fan but didn’t she sack the coach who guided her to her 15 minutes of fame within about 15 minutes of it?

You seem to agree on the other thread.

Neither Henman nor Murray were nothingburgers.

Six grand slam semis and a multi-year spell in the top 10 by Henman is a looooong way from average.

No, it’s average.
