Congratulations from RollOnFriday to Baker & McKenzie lawyer Mark Simpson, who married Rosie Milton last week at Westminster Abbey in London.
Two billion people watched Wills 'n' Kate wed at the Abbey last Friday - pretty much the entire population of the World except for those employed by Addleshaw Goddard who were banned from taking the day off. But, far more excitingly, Milton and Simpson, who is a 3PQE financial services associate, got married there too the next day. And they even made it into The Sun as a result (scroll down for the article).
The pair enjoyed the Abbey with all the trees and the flower arrangements still in place (estimated cost: £50,000). The honour was extended to the happy couple as the groom's mother is a Companion of the Order of the Bath (estimated cost: about the same these days).
A spokeswoman for Baker & McKenzie told RollOnFriday "many congratulations to Mark and Rosie on what must surely rank as the wedding of the season". They are now off on honeymoon.
