This week, RollOnFriday received news of a truly dreadful interview at a major firm. We present edited highlights below. Obviously we can't mention the firm's name, but let's hope that plenty of interviewers read this set of completely inappropriate questions. Just to learn how NOT to do it.

Subject: Terrible interview experience

Sooo... Firm X pride themselves as being the friendly and socially mobile law firm, what a joke.

I had an interview at Firm X that didn't correlate to any of their values being upheld.

The interviewer asked me the following:

1. Why are your GCSE results this rubbish?

2. What do your parents do?

3. Was your house on a council estate?

4. Are you intimidated by people who have money?

5. Do you think you will fit in here because of your background? Because there are people here who went to private schools here.

Avoid Firm X if you have any decency and values!

1. They're not, otherwise you wouldn't have interviewed me.

2. One is a genetic engineer, the other is a writer of humorous stories.

3. No, a council estate is on my house - we sublet the hunting lodge in the grounds to a housing association to convert into affordable flats. It's cheaper than hunting foxes and less likely to cause animal rights nutters to show up.

4. People who have money are intimidated by me.

5. I think I'll fit right in; I'm an amoral lying bastard and everything I've just told you was nonsense.
