yes - but no on the outer reaches of loony “queer theory” and loony “trans” stuff.  a majority of the my generation gay folk I know (not a scientific sample but I think representative) feel the same way. 

I never liked homophones. It's the way they look at you. 

They all sound the same, too. Effin freaks.
