The Will digitisation (and originals destruction) project

Heh.

YEAH WELL YOU CAN STILL SEE 0.0001% OF DOCUMENTS FROM 500 YEARS AGO BECAUSE THEY WERE  IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO BE PERFECTLY PRESERVED BY PEOPLE BUT YOUR ASCII PORN FLOPPY DISCS FROM 1992, WHERE ARE THEY NOW EH? EH? I AM VERY SMART.

You have to be seriously stupid if you think that floppy discs will be readable without specialist equipment in even another 15 years.

Meanwhile, we still can read books over 600 years old with just your eyes.

Great point, maybe we shouldn't use 90s floppy discs for any will digitisation in 2023 or beyond. I mean what were they thinking even suggesting it? Those idiots.

The best way to preserve ancient manuscripts is monasteries staffed by devout monks supplemented with chance finds of papyrus in the Egyptian sands. Tried and tested.

I disagree, I think we should convert all the wills to cave paintings. You can still see neanderthal cave paintings from 60,000 years ago. You could probably do more than one per cave even. Or is that too risky?
