sky negotiations

Current contract about to expire and I am about "to cancel" the service to negotiate a new deal.

What are the best deals people are getting at the moment?  What should I be going for?  The online quote is £100 a month but fook that.    I am thinking of holding out for around £70 for all TV including sport and fast broadband.

Having just done this myself if you get someone who refuses to engage with you just hang up and call back to get another person, they seem to be able to offer different stuff depending on what targets etc they have. Sky have also changed their renewal process so that the price is "customer led" - they will not offer you up "Here's a £50 package" anymore to keep you,  you need to say I want XYZ for £50 and I've seen it as a new customer then they will be led by that. So start low and lie about where you have seen the deal.  This is also why you aren't seeing the best deal on line. We pay just under £70 for sky sports, HD and Netflix account, Qbox think we got cinema for 3 months as well.

ok just done it,  was initially offer £90 by first line of customer service defence - said no dice so the put me through to "the cancellation team" (i.e  "retentions") said I wanted £70 per month or I am walking - got them down to £72 which I accepted.
