RoF personality of the year awards

Nominations please

  • This board is singularly free of what the dictionary defines as personalities.
  • It's a rabid collection of deranged drug addicts, people obsessively collecting personal data no matter how irrelevant, niche interest extremists venting, and people too lethargic to go elsewhere.

Mutters wins it for me, with Laz and Shooter a close second. Board wouldn't be the same without them.

Plenty of others in the "worth a mention" category for sure. You know who you are.

*blushes again* it’s becoming an embarrassing personal trait.

RR - name your category - can I suggest, most imaginative Roffer? (I’m thinking of the firework finale to the Euros)

1. Sports personality of the year

Canary Jim is solid on sports

2. Best newcomer

N/A - there have been no newcomers since someone clicked here by accident in 2017

3. Unsung hero award

Kimmy is a good poster who doesn’t get the recognition in these sorts of awards

4. Lifetime achievement award

Achievement and ROF don’t really go together

5. Helen Rollason award

I can’t think of any who have died this year or is that something different?

1. Sports personality of the year

  • High Guise/GC for his pull-up prowess

2. Best newcomer

  • Any of the new risky sockpuppets

3. Unsung hero award

  • Gwenlian

4. Lifetime achievement award

  • Mutters

5. Helen Rollason award

  • Dunno. RIsky junior? Hotblack for his temporary demise which turns out not to be one?

1. Sports personality of the year - second vote for RR. The man knows his stuff and even switched to optimism for the last Ashes match and saw the results.

2. Best newcomer - have there been any?

3. Unsung hero award - Tromb - both for his official job and his unofficial work in the community

4. Lifetime achievement award - gotta be Laz hasn’t it?

5. Helen Rollason award - Have to vote for Rsky here. To follow all the threads daily after being banned (and therefore unable to respond officially) and continually e-mail me with comments shows amazing commitment to cause.

“3. Unsung hero award - Tromb - both for his official job and his unofficial work in the community”

Couldn’t agree any harder with this. To give it to anyone else would be to entirely skew the meaning of the notion of heroism.
