...off the back of the Charlotte Gainsbourg interview on the Adam Buxton podcast, I have listened to all her albums and I love them. It's all breathy and whimsical and French.
Anything you have found recently that you're loving? I want more "not new but new to me" music suggestions.
Thx.

I think it's erroneous to assume I only will appreciate one style of music. I have very weird and wide ranging tastes!
I will Google, thanks wibs.

There are loads of others. I kind of know how the guitar lines go, but how they get the sound eludes me. I may have to get a load of 1950s valve amp stuff.

And if you want a visual image of me, that Lee Marvin one is pretty accurate. As some here who have met me have said.

I hadn't heard of Bria Skonberg until about 18 months ago. Now I listen to nothing else.

I am always meaning to listen to more Bjork but never get round to it. I need to sort that out.

The soundtrack to this new film "Yesterday" has some great songs on it. Never heard of the songwriters before.

May I comment on Bjork. Each record has such a distinctive personality. She's so adept at unity of lyrics, arrangements, themes and design. Here is my off the top of my head summary [part 2 to follow]
Debut: 90s club euphoria; dizzy; mood swings [highlight: Crying, Human Behaviour)
Post: post-modern; electronica [Highlight: Hyperballad, Isobel]
Homogenic: Iceland; strings; wandering [Highlight: Hunter, Yoga]
Vespertine: domesticity; micro-beats; intimacy; privacy [Highlight: hidden place, pagan poetry]
