I commented at the very beginning of this that it was very odd that Israel was not aware of or prepared for the Hamas attack in advance. It felt like a Reichstag moment, an excuse to over react. When I said this, I thought it was to distract from Netanyahu's legal problems. Now, I'm thinking this is a land grab as well.

Real friends of Israel don't let Israel descend into the kind of behaviour we compare to that of the Nazi's. They point out the problem because they want Israel to change for the better. People who don't genuinely care about Israel's long term future in the region and the world make excuses and facilitate their criminal behaviour instead. Unless those people are stopped, Israel is at dire risk
