So Bayern were pretty shite last night, but winning 3-1 is still a pretty big statement.
English teams are pretty dominant, other than Barcelona, I can't see anyone stopping them this season.
VVD is, imho, probably the best CB in the world right now. He's probably at least make the bench at Newcastle.

Even Spurs? I can't see us progressing much further than the QF, unless we get Porto (and even then...)

If they don't draw Barcelona or Man City, I'd say Spurs have a decent chance over two legs.

I'd quite like to see:
Man Utd vs Liverpool
Porto vs Cith (got money on them to win it)
Spurs vs Ajax
Juventus vs Barcelona

I'd like to see
Liverpool v City (given current battle for the PL)
Barca v Ajax (de Jong and De Ligt vs future employers)
Juve v Man Utd (Ronaldo returns)
Spurs v Porto (easiest tie on paper for Spurs)

Hopefully Pep can continue to show that he can't win the Champions League when there is a modicum of competition.
