If we’re getting into detail, the OP contains perfect grammar. Laz’s retort, to have proper force, requires reading ‘me’ as ‘I do’, which is in fact the only solecism in play here. Sorry to school you all again.

I concede that in order for the OP to be correct it would have to read:  “…than I do”

The humour comes from the ambiguity from the fact that the grammar was not correct.
