purely in an attempt 2 steal political points from starmer

😂🤣😂

the good thing is, if u read past the per4m7ive faux outrage. the greek pm obviously saw right thru it and is basically like “oh well he’s a lame duck, i got 2 meet the 1 who matters beyond the short term”

*pathetic here being construed in the widest pejor7ive sense, including (w/o limitation) incompetent, unst7esmanlike, embarrassing 2 our nation, counterproductive and toolbaggy

heh @ eeyore. the new iphone autokorrekt makes that 1 really fiddly

lol @ (not with, directly @, in the point and mock sense) marsehole hall 4 not being able 2 read the news

it does look pretty bad that Rishi ran away from the greek PM because of some sculptures while Starmer is able to say he was having serious discussions about immigration

pretty awful own goal

Imagine if some chancer in the Civil War had flogged off Stonehenge to a pirate and they were now resting in Washington DC. That would be terrible. I say send them all back.

There is this theory that some of the stones were from an older monument in Wales that was captured by the Wiltshore lot but let's forget about that.

Imagine if some chancer in the Civil War had flogged off Stonehenge to a pirate and they were now resting in Washington DC. That would be terrible. I say send them all back.

Wouldn't that mean pretty much every museum and art gallery would be empty?  But a shedload of oligarchs and dictators would get some pretty sweet antiques?

much of what we know about Stonehenge is a Victorian invention.  They're not even sure that they are still in the original positions as they have been moved about several times.

He’s a fvcking useless politician, as many of us said from the day he was installed by HBH and Co. A complete stooge, given a long extension lead for his laptop which he has only succeeded in tripping over repeatedly. He will disappear from public life completely as the Tories tack to the centre for votes.

I’ve just heard Workie’s lame ass demonisation of Brussels over Starmer’s choice of the Ode to Joy as a fave piece of music. Pathetic. What would he prefer plucky Brits to be listening to - Oi? Or perhaps something from his own culture.

Interesting point from Matthew Parris in the Times yesterday that it also suits the Greek PM to have something to distract from his assorted problems at home...

"perhaps something from his own culture"

Classic Cookie.

Appreciate that you might want an easy life ducky but this is racism and "classic cookie" rather undermines attempts to develop a hostile environment for this sort of privileged, public school, sneering khuntishness.

It is very easy to despise sunak on his own terms without referring to "his own culture".

Very HTH even though this will lead to cookie throwing his toys out and calling me ribaldry etc.
