half marathon on sunday

done no training

 

worth doing anything this week?

I did a test about a year ago when I was previously going to run one. Did it on a treadmill, wasnt too bad to be honest ( I went slow  -2h15 or something I think) but boring as hell. I had done a fair amunt of running before hand tho.

 

 

They are much less boring when you do them outside rather than on a treadmill. I have three booked in already for this year.

 

if you haven’t done any training so far I wouldn’t bother doing anything this week aside from getting some sleep and not drinking.

what is always surprising is how quickly the heart gets out of tune, so to speak.

gets back quickly. but the initial shock of returning to exercise isn't good.

 

Went surprisingly ok and managed a 1:56 which I was happy with considering the lack of training!?

 

Ate waaaay too many jelly babies at one of the  water stations which inhbited my breathing for a while too which didnt help.
