getting my first Gousto box today

has anyone used it?

lol. I used it pre Covid, it was really good in terms of ease and quality. Too much packaging though and I thought it was better value for money to go to the shop. We didn't use it long enough to get a feel for whether the menu is good enough.

I think they are for fannies but I did want one before and never got it because I wouldn't be in when it arrived and heard many tales of them being nicked

pal had a money off voucher

The people I know who get a lot of value from it are well off, not keen on cooking, and don't have kids. If you like it, get a feel for the competitors too - Hello fresh is good.

I don’t think you’d get a lot of benefit if you genuinely don’t like cooking - you still have to cook from scratch every time

the real draw is the variety of recipes you get every week without having to put any thought into it - before hello fresh id just rely on four or five simple “weeknight meals” which would have to rotate around every single week

we have used them for years, they are good, portion size is good. basil is always shite. but we see no reason to stop. otherwise our weekly food is the same every single bloody week, no variety

Chill when I mean not  liking  cooking I suppose i mean not liking planning and preparing meals from scratch rather than throwing some pre prepped ingredients together.  But agree there are better options if you don’t even like doing that.

my friend is a big fan. Sometimes they miss out something which renders it useless but i think if you persevere you get a refund. It’s not for me, way too fussy and waste of money.

upsettingly, I have a craft gin pack that I thought would come today and it has not come

I could have some crappy normal gin but I don't want it to sully the wait
