Eng v India first test VR version

Good news for England fans. We’ve won the toss and are batting.

The pitch is good although there is an element of movement off the seam and in the air and even, at this early stage, a hint of uneven bounce.

Siraj and Bumrah bowled well for little reward (Duckett saw two consecutive deliveries underedged past the stumps for four) and spin was introduced in the 8th over.

Bazball is still heavily in evidence as Duckett and Crawley built a century opening stand in record time before spin accounted for Duckett (50) and Pope (9) in quick succession.

Crawley and Root put on a 50 partnership before Crawley was deceived by Ashwin and castled for 86.

Root reached 40 before the returning Siraj beat him all ends up with a beauty and Bairstow was joined by his captain. Both remain unbeaten at lunch on day one with the score 228 for 4 (yes I told you it was Bazball).

I’m having a break while the headset recharges but will continue the match this afternoon. England probably the happier of the two teams but still all to play for.

Bairstow fell without scoring further in the second over after the lunch break but Foakes showed why is invaluable against spin bringing up the 300 with Stokes.

Unfortunately when he fell for 44 to Ashwin, Ahmed went next ball leaving England in a bit of a pickle at 326 for 7. Stokes’ resistance also came to an end soon after and there were doubts England would get to 350.

I didn’t know much about Tm Hartley before this match but he is hugely impressive. A quick fire 44 in partnership with the ever-entertaining Wood (39) and Leach (21 not out) gave England the better of the first innings and the first day’s play.

All out for 449. England with the upper hand.

I should set up an only fans for subscriptions, shouldn’t I? Much more inteersting than naked bodies.

Unfortunately my VR doesn’t let me bowl at them so I need someone to suggest what their reply is before I can start the third innings,
