After months of posting your certitude that there would be no long extension and we would leave with no deal, refusing to listen to reason, are you now prepared to apologise for being so blinkered?
Yes of course there will be a deal, or brexit wont happen. How can that not be blindingly obvious by now? Neither the UK government nor the EU want no deal and neither will let it happen. If there is no deal parliament will support there will have to be a referendum.
You keep taking what people say at face value- it is part of negotiation - everyone with any influence save for a handful of nutters, mostly UK MPs sadly, knows no deal will not happen.
What will happen, is the Tories and Labour will both bimble around until after the European Parliament elections and see what the damage is.
If Labour are smart, they will come out in favour of a second referendum with the option to remain before the European Parliament elections and do well out of remain voters reluctantly supporting them. My worry is that Labour aren't very smart, but we will see.
As we get closer to October and it becomes even more blindingly obvious that Theresa May's deal is the only deal on the table, eventually enough of Parliament will crack and vote for a confirmatory referendum. We'll then probably need a further extension to give us enough time to hold it.
There is no possible Brexit which is better for the UK than being a member as we currently are with multiple opt-outs from the bits we don't like.
There are no better trade deals available to the UK by leaving the EU, only worse ones.
After any Brexit, UK industry will have to follow EU rules anyway because that is what the market for their products will demand. BUT the UK will have no say in how those rules are crafted and enacted.
There is no greater "sovereignty" in being the helpless victim and plaything of the Great Powers than in being inside the EU.
All the things that people had in their minds when they voted for Brexit were failures of the Westminster Parliament, or at least things it had the power to regulate and correct.
dear lord 7 hours of cabinet for a pointless announcement. yup shes mental, she is implicitly blaming the labour party. there is nothing new and substantial in this announcement , the EU will tell her to fvck off. no more votes please this is getting more and more complex. she hasn't even said how longer extension she wants. mental.

Still reckon there will be a deal then given that we are no closer to anything but have already wasted a couple of weeks of this extension?
