Disaster Planning

So it’s been raining a little bit here today and as usual, civilised society has collapsed under a few raindrops.

As a direct result this evening I had to raid my disaster food supplies, tomato soup for the record, as the entirety of Uber eats is listed unavailable.

Do you have any disaster supplies?

Or have you engaged in some brexit panic buying?

That's hilarious. It's a bit like here when it snows. You should just read the local FB group going mental (although I am deactivated on there, Mr D does show me the amazing titbits that get posted. Some people are extremely odd and care too much about shit that doesn't matter).

ANYWAY. In reply. We have a second freezer in the garage. No panic buying yet but might do some this weekend. A Musclefood box lasts us months, which might be helpful.

Hope you're ok otherwise! xxxx

I have plenty of dry goods stored up.  And fish.  That’ll do.  My ‘go to’ foods tend to be old staples like beans on toast, noodles, soup etc.

Oh and sausages, lots of sausages in the freezer.

???

I don’t have a driver and also that would involve me getting out of my pajamas for the first time in three days.

Also.. when it rains here the roads are lethal. Everyone puts their hazard lights on and there is no drainage so the roads get big patches of water sitting on them.

D... my cats have at least a months supply of food.

Me on the other hand...  I have two cans of soup left after the maids threw out all my other disaster supplies because they had past their expiry date.

You are of course familiar with the contents, or lack thereof, of my fridge.

Leaf, stick, dog, budgie, mouse mat, bread, the complete works of Shakespeare, cushions, T-shirt, backscratcher, tea cosy, Tesco carrier bag, left hand, right hand, carpet samples, Halsburys, the Daily Mail, Boris Johnson, cuddly toy.

There is of course Scylla that particular brand of psychopath (assuming you are in ME) that uses wet conditions as an excuse to really test what their car is capable of

Why do people have a compulsion to refer to their pets in every single posting they make.

It really is deeply disturbing.

All I can say is... if that is what disturbs you about me.... you don't know me well enough... I do things WAY, WAY more disturbing....trufax....
