are you in mourning today?

28 years. remember it like yesterday

:(

although LOL at what the intervening 28 years have brought

"The former secretary of state for the environment threw down the gauntlet after a string of serious disputes over Britain's involvement in the European Union."

I remember my dad being visibly shaken and ringing his friends from the local Conservative party to talk about it.  You really would have thought someone had died, it was a deeply depressing experience.   And yes, it was definitely warmer I’m sure.

I was on my way to school when my mum told me. I was sad because I was six and thought a lady prime minister was the way forward.

My feminist instincts are still just as strong, but thankfully my political views have evolved.
