First they came for the trans women, and apparently, because of the absurd fiction that it was 'keeping women safe', retarded bigotry towards trans women was ok.  Hmmm, I wonder if normalising and encouraging bigotry and intolerance against minorities could have any spillover effects?  Think the alt right is going to stop at cruelty to trans kids?

Target are majorly backpedaling because the crop tops they were selling for young girls had a label stating it had a "binding effect" and the girls' bikini bottoms label said they were "tuck friendly".

Target shoppers have posted videos and images of swimsuits with clothing tags that describe the items as having a “light binding effect” on breasts and “tuck-friendly construction” for male genitalia. An adult swim top for sale on Target’s website mentions the “light binding effect” in the description, although an adult one-piece does not mention the “tuck-friendly” design. Some of the children’s swimsuits are described online as being able “thoughtfully fit on multiple body types and gender expressions.”

“The ‘tuck-friendly’ swim suits are for adults only,” a spokesperson for Target told the Associated Press.

if kids want this stuff, then they buy buy it and if they don't they don't.  This weird attempt to condition kids into wearing "approved" clothing etc. is really frickin' weird.  

Or we could celebrate the fact that this stuff is even on sale in some parts of the US where a decade ago they'd have burnt the shop down for stocking it.  You seem to fall into the trap of thinking the most of the US population are like us because we mainly see people from the liberal coastal states in the press but in fact a lot of them are still deeply backward religious zealots.

The selling of these items has nothing to do with gay people. It is intended to make money, pure and simple. The audience won't be gay people, because gay people want to fit in. LGB people want people to stop lumping them in with the letters, as LGB is about sexuality, which is innate. LGB people want to be able to advocate for their specific needs, and don't want to be grouped with the letters.

Chill comparing your performance to your peers requires them to be your peers.  That’s why park run even breaks it down into age groups as no point comparing my performance against an 18 year age old.
