Debevoise & Plimpton, Farrers and Jones Day firms have all confirmed that they will be retaining every one of their September 2012 qualifiers. Three cheers.

It's a good result for Jones Day in particular, as it also managed to keep 100% of its trainees in the last qualification round. Although as its final seat trainees pocket a market-leading £50k and NQs have just seen pay hiked to £72,500, it's not surprising they're happy. Others in the 100% club are Debevoise, which is keeping on all six of its trainees, and Farrers which has found NQ spots for all ten of its September qualifiers.

    Happy trainees yesterday

Another new entry to the retention table is White & Case, which is keeping on 13 of its 16 trainees. While that's not too shabby, 81% puts the firm second to last given the early rush of positive results. And bumping along at the very bottom of the table so far is Olswang, which is keeping on only 9 of its 14 trainees, giving it a 64% retention rate (only a small step up from its  woeful March score of 55%).

However if RollOnFriday sources are to be believed there are firms about to confirm considerably lower retention results. Watch this space.

No Dickinson Dees data?

I wonder why they're being so cagey? Two years ago they had the second worst retention rate listed. Last year they managed (equal) worst.

100% of 6 out of 6. Not that impressive really. If only one had decided that needle-point was more exciting, retention would have dropped 17%.
